One of the biggest questions we get about training is "what do you actually do in training sessions"?

Here is a story that illustrates exactly what we do:

One of the major manufacturers in the Greenville, SC Area asked me to help one of their manufacturing plants with employee retention. The leaders of the organization were assuming that this is the result of the current economy, and that employees leave when the pay is higher somewhere else. I facilitated two workshop sessions with their team. During these sessions, I engaged the team through the coaching process and helped them identify specific actions that can be taken to improve the work environment and retain talent. And the solution does not include increasing wages!

Believe it or not, most productive work environments start with a leader and desire to position their team members for success.

The 3 Most Common Questions People Ask About Training Are:

How do we get started?

How long does it take?

Do we only train managers?

How do we get started?

The first step is to assess the team and organization, to identify strengths and gaps to address.

How long does it take?

The assessment takes a couple of hours for a team of 4-12 associates.

Do we only train managers?

It is recommended that all levels within the organization are trained to improve teams efficiency.

Here's what I do to train teams:

- I use assessments and evaluation tools to identify the strengths of the organization, as well as gaps to address to improve the results. It is important to meet your team members where they are, and help them grow from there.

- Based on the outcome of the assessments, I partner with the leaders of the organization (or the HR department) to develop a customized training plan.
